From our Birmingham-based test lab, we develop surface finishing processes for your components. Process trials can also be conducted in larger or specialist machines in our German test lab too. Our experienced process technicians work closely with you, using your components and an understanding of your surface finish needs. You are also welcome to visit for a demonstration of the machines and process. With over 90 years of experience in surface preparation, we ensure your components are finished to the highest standards, helping you stay productive, profitable, and competitive in your industry.

Our approach to sample processing is thorough and collaborative. First, we ask you to help complete a detailed question sheet and provide a small quantity of your sample components for testing. These are then assessed in our state-of-the-art test lab, where we develop the ideal conditions for processing. Whether it’s mass finishing, blasting, or coating, we adjust every step to suit your individual requirements. Our goal is to create a complete solution that ensures uniform results, reduces costs, and enhances the quality of your finished components.

Specialised test labs for every need

We’ve designed our test labs to cater to a wide range of processing needs. Our Test Lab for Surface Technology focuses on mass finishing processes, ensuring your components are treated with precision and care. Meanwhile, our specialist Test Lab in Germany for Small Part Coating specialises in developing the perfect coating processes for decoration, adhesive, or lubrication applications. We also have a dedicated test lab in Germany for the THM continuous shot blast machines. All testing will co-ordinated with the UK by the UK team.
